Thomasville Rose Festival Dancing In The Streets.
We are now proud to bring you our coverage and a view on the Nationally Famous Thomasville Rose Festival Nighttime Street Dance Fun. This part of the Rose Parade is not nearly so famous yet, but equally important to many here in the Community. Again the City really does it up right here for the Rose Festival and we felt that a little coverage of this part of your local Rose Festival deserved some coverage as well. The sun of the day is down and the City lights come to life along with a great time for all with the Swingin Medallions. They come to us from Greenwood South Carolina and their style of smooth groovin definitely had everyone dancing in the streets. The band calls plays such a variety of music and often does frat parties, Rhythm and Blues, Beach Music and more. The Swingin Medallions date back to the 1960s and are multi generational and continue to entertain hundreds of thousands today.
They said this would appeal to everyone from age 8 to 80 and from the looks of the crowds. They definitely knew their stuff. At times it had a big band brass flair to the show while at other times they strapped on guitars for a little Country, Classic Rock or Mainstream Top 40 hit music. Whatever they seemed to be playing. The crowd was taking it in and everyone was dancing in the streets.
Whatever the Music of the moment might have been. The crowds were riveted to the space in front of the stage and kept dancing until quite late in the night. Once again The Thomasville Rose Parade and Show is completely FREE of charge and offers festivities often much greater than those people pay premium prices for. The City Of Thomasville does it up right with the Rose Parade and the trip from wherever you may come from is definitely worthwhile. Rock & Swing On Swingin Medallions !
Now we are going to have a look around the fans and see just how much fun these people are having. As you can see space is tight as everyone in the area wants to be first and having a great time with the band. Don't worry, There is room for everyone and everyone seemed to be taking advantage of and enjoying this fact at your Street Festival here at the Thomasville Rose Show & Festival.
